HJE Story...

HJE was referred by an agency because she was the sole provider for a son with a disability. Being disabled herself she struggled to care for him and she was given numerous resources to assist her which are in place today. She stated very quietly that she had never had her nails or feet done professionally. Shalom Aleichem was able to give her a day at the spa and put a smile on her face.

"Look, they match. Isn't it pretty. Thank you soo much."

P12 Story...

P12 was referred by an agency for her ability to thrive in the face of much hardship which saw her reduced to shelter living. She fought her way up and now has acquired a place to live but was in need of a few items for her place. Shalom Aleichem was able to get her an Air Fryer and Nutribullet thanks to the generosity of our donors.

"Thank u so much for the help and love u all gave...I came to Canton with nothing and y'all gave me a chance when one else would."

A Donation Story Pat D.

Pat has been a wonderful friend. I would describe her as very kind, soft spoken but very wise. She radiates love. Pat is the type of person who does not like to be a bother to anyone. She would not let you know if she was in pain or feeling any discomfort because she attempts to comfort others first. Pat heard about Shalom Aleichem and immediately said that she would like to give a donation. The wildfires in Maui were so devastating that Shalom Aleichem sent her donation to the Hawai'i Community Foundation's Maui Strong Fund on her behalf. Thanks for being a blessing.

Ms. Fran, we are submitting an individual to you that we've had the opportunity of knowing since their high school years. An individual that has overcome great obstacles in her life, but yet she still stands, thanks to individuals, businesses, teachers, and companies giving her a second chance. The support she receives from her family and in particularly, her mother that is handicap who have had the greatest influence as a single parent while encouraging their daughter to stay focus in completing her education. Words really cannot express the story behind our referral's life. Raven just started working and a gas card would be greatly appreciated in assisting her to get on her feet. Therefore, we wholeheartedly recommend to you Raven L. by name and the requested essay will follow. Sincerely, Kathy Baylock, Director WATOES.

Kenya Missions Trip Request from Cecily R. I am going on a missions trip to Kenya on October 22nd. The school we are supporting will be having a formal event for the girls graduating. The ladies are aged 18-21 years old. They are graduating from the Hair and Fashion School. We are in need of formal dresses. I will send pictures of the event. Thank you,

Shalom Aleichem with the help of Lindes Bridal and Prom Shop donated 6 formal dresses with a value of over $1200. A pair of formal shoes and makeup was also donated FMR.

M.G.'s story was sent to us by his foster mom. She told of the shy, and kind nature of M.G. She noted that he did not want to talk about what led him to come into her care. She did state that he suffers many days from depression. M.G. may you be encouraged and know that your kindness has not gone unnoticed by Shalom Aleichem. We hope that our gift to you will brighten your day.
